Re: Samsung ln52a650 power cycle
Budmn, i've read those threads and a couple may help, but my problem is different from the first thread you posted. His didn't stay on , but mine will until you have something playing or in motion. I have a chromecast that has pictures until you stream something. When it's at the picture screen, it can stay on. It will only shut off when i cast something and it is running for a certain period of time. I think i can eliminate the psu but i'm not sure.Last edited by graveboy81; 06-19-2015, 02:16 PM.

Re: Samsung ln52a650 power cycle
The second picture is the plug running to the left side of the panel. It supposed to have a output of 12v but it read 10v.
The third picture is the upper wire plug that runs to the main board. It supposed to have a output of 5v but read 4v.
The fourth picture with the caps is the lower wire plug that runs to the main board. Its supposed to have a output of 13v. It has 12v.
This is with something running and with the tv just on with nothing running.
If i was to watch a movie or cable, after 15 to 20 minutes...Last edited by graveboy81; 06-19-2015, 07:41 AM.

Samsung ln52a650 power cycle
I have a Samsung tv that powers up just fine. It only goes through the power cycle when something is playing like my xbox, the cable, etc. I've been dealing with this issue for awhile and need some help. Also, before it powers off, it has a buzzing noise coming out of the speakers.Last edited by graveboy81; 06-18-2015, 10:14 PM.

Re: Samsung UN40D5550RF power cycling
I have a similar issue but its with a Samsung ln52a650 series. It powers on just fine. And it only does the power cycle when something is playing like if the cable is hooked up or my Xbox etc. Im clueless as to what it is and need some help. I tried to post a new thread instead of piggybacking on this one but its a similar issue.

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
But i still get a correct voltage reading from the va and 5v.
This is where the smoke came main logic control board. It has a small chip at what looks to be IC252....

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
The pin close to the va is this 5v pin. It was strange to me too. Before the va problem, I may have to change the y -sus too because after i plugged the upper buffer board back up, i plugged in the power coard and heard a small pop where the y-sus and upper board meet.

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
I had it on V the whole time. I don't know tom66, i refuse to believe that panel is shot because of that board going out. Changing that board has to be done because it has ribbons that run to the y and z -sus and logic board.Last edited by graveboy81; 05-16-2015, 07:24 AM.

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
Well, i think i ruined the main logic board while checking the power supply! I was checking the va on the power supply when i heard a pop. Then the tv started clicking and smoke came from what looks like the main logic board because there use to be a green light flashing then the tv shut off. Then i powered the tv on again and the green light doesn't flash at all. Cant get a reading from the zbias and when i check the y sus it reads -55 when it should be -190. Now after 20 minutes or so, the tv automatically shuts off!

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
Just a thought...could a bad solder job on that c802 have played a factor in my tv not fully powering up?

Re: LG 50PA5500 no picture
should i be using the remote to turn the tv on or does it even matter? I saw some videos of people using remotes to turn the tv on instead of the buttons.
