Re: Microsoft Surface Pro 4 not charging
Hi,
there is a little news about this project. Me and a collegue tried to charge a battery externally. So we supplied 8V to the + Pin of the battery with a Lab Powersupply (if you try this please set the current limit to a low value) . No current was flowing.
But after we touched the DATA pin with a 8V through a 10k resistor shortly, the battery began to charge. So our guess is, that the battery is good and just needs a signal on the data bus to beginn charging.
The question is: why doesn't it...

Asus Spin 5 unreliable Tablet mode
Hey everyone,
i just wanted to share something i found out today, because I didn't find any information on this on the web. I had a Acer Spin 5 N17W2, where the tablet mode did not word reliably. The problem started after a new digitizer was installed on the machine
The problem was produced by the g-sensor, that is embedded in the display bezel (see picture). The tablet mode worked fine until I folded the display on the last bit onto the backcover (full tablet mode).
I worked out, that the angle, the g-sensor was mounted in was slightly off, producing a misalignment...

Re: Acer Aspire V17 Nitro VN7-791 Nvidia GTX960m 3rd phase GPU died
Another thing to check. If PU8205 constantly blows (even if replaced with a new one) there is a possibility the driver IC (PU8204) is broken.
In our case the pins 2 and 4 were shorted. You can measure that at PC8218, if it shows a short, the chip PU8204 is possibly dead and causes the MOSFET to blow. Unsolder the chip and if the short is gone, we have a winner.

Re: pls Bios HP Probook 450 G5
Hi@all,
similar problem ... machine came in with no video. Tried different BIOS-Dumps. now i have video but following on the screen "soft temporary disabled. To enable ME check AMT option in F10 setup. System is booting in manufacturing program mode". On second later the machine restarts, so i can't use DMI-Tool (F9/F10 doesnt work).
Original BIOS is attached - can anybody fix this?
Thanks in advance.Last edited by SMDFlea; 04-10-2023, 09:34 AM.

ASUS X750LN no video/no post - help or schematic needed
Hi friends,
i'm working on an ASUS X750LN Rev2.0 (F750LN) motherboard that doesn't post. If i connect it to the charger the Battery-LED comes on after two seconds, also if no battery is connected. After some minutes the battery-indicator begins with blinking. I can power it on but it doesn't post.
U2601 is very hot. If i touch the board in the area of U8100 the machine turns off and doesn't turn on again before i unplug the charger. BIOS is already re-programmed.
I have boardview but can't find a schematic. I've read in a russian forum that there is...
