yea when i was looking over the board i was shocked dell allowed that kind of soldering to pass. any idea what some of the white stuff might be that shows up? i have never seen that doing the little soldering i have done. this white stuff is covers more of the connection board.

    C23:
    N3
    3kv
    SEC

all i can figure out is 3kv, the questionable part is if its 5fp if like suggested from a post i found at the forum. even then no one really said they knew for sure.

ok hopefully this goes in order of the pictures uploaded.

(1)back side of the panel, the connectors on the left hand side is what i was talking about. i am assuming then one top light and one bottom light given how the wires come out from the panel.
(2)is the top of the pcb
(3)back side of the pcb a bit on the dark side
(4)one angle of the back of the pcb
(5)another angle of the back of the pcb

Just noticed your edit, from the second picture you posted on the bottom left. the ILPI-03 revA does match...

before i get pictures, how can i tell how many lamps there are? all i can tell you that it might be for lamps is 2 since there are 2 sets of 2 connectors i disconnected from the power supply board.

off to get pictures and a close up of what i just mentioned on 2 sets of 2 connections.

    started a topic Dell E2209WF

    Dell E2209WF

I picked this monitor up from a local sears going out of business sale for $28 bucks. thought it was not a bad deal till i got home, seems other different monitors have some kind of same issue. i did hit up the Dell site for support ran the built in Diag and everything checked out. with out the DVI or vga plugged in the diag works and i dont loose the looking for connection. it seemed like it was going into what they were calling low power mode. not the standby mode which is where the power button would turn orange. In this case it stayed blue even when i lost picture and it stayed on for a while...
