johnboy1313, Thanks for the link. I don't have the tools or experience to verify whether the same problem exists on my unit. I may just buy the replacement board depending on how much time I have....

Hi. I have a two year old LG TV [1] that I used a few hours a day.
Last week while playing a videogame, the TV made a clicking sound and shut off. I tried to turn it on again but the display was not visible. At the same time I smelled something burning so I disconnected the power cable from the TV. A few hours later I re-connected the power cable but the display still would not turn on.
Yesterday I opened the TV and did a visual inspection on the main boards (front and back side). I could not find any damaged capacitors. However, there were two components that looked...
