Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST30 TV is not turning on.
Everything working well, finally. First time I sent out the SC board for repair, it wasn't done properly and I still had the short on it. Then I discovered that the SU board also had a short, so got that repaired. Not having a supply of new boards is a huge hassle - Panasonic should be ashamed of how they've dealt with this issue. Anyway, after reseating the ribbon cables, the lines went away and the picture is normal.
Thanks to everyone, especially TW2005 (and flocko above), whose contributions in this thread made me...

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST30 TV is not turning on.
Got the SC board and the SU board fixed. 14 blinks is gone and I get picture. However, it has lines in it. Is it because of improper connections (such as for the ribbon cables) or is still some issue with the boards? If connections, which ones are the possible culprits?
Thanks

Re: Panasonic TC-P55ST30 TV is not turning on.
My SU board is a 5340 (for 55ST30). The SC board had a short and I got it fixed. Then I checked the SU board, and it has a short at pin 8 on SU41. SD42 seems to be fine, and the other pins on su41 also seem to be fine. Are the tests for 5340 the same as for 5343, so short on pin 8 means bad buffer board? The SC board had a short at SC2 but no sign of arcing at the screws, and they seemed to be fairly tight when I took them out, so I am wondering if the bad buffer caused the SC board to fail.
