  • Re: Samsung LN5265FX/XAA -VERTICAL LINES

Thanks for the input. It was free and I revived it by replacing the bad caps so - Live and let die.

Will it get worse or is this something I just have to live with?

  • Samsung LN5265FX/XAA -VERTICAL LINES

I have a Samsung 52" TV that has multicolor vertical lines on the right side about 1/2" wide. As the set runs the lines disappear until only 1 green line remains. Occasionally another line will appear but will go away by touching the screen at the tip of the line. Do you have any ideas about the problem or how to fix it?

  • SAMSUNG LN32A450C1DXZA T-Com Board

I have a Samsung LN32A450C1DXZA that has a bad T-Com Board. The current board is 320AA05C2LV0.0 AND THE STICKER HAS J2302B8D2VK2. CAN I USE A J2302C AS A REPLACEMENT?

Terryfictv - I could not find C102 or C131 on the main board. I do not have a schematic for the BN97-00963A and all of the components seem to be in the 1000s or more. Can you give me a little more direction.

newtothis - I have always been getting power out but something was causing the power to reboot after 10-12 seconds. Once the main board was disconnected the cycling stopped. So there must be something on the main that is causing the restart.

simcole - Good to hear your replacement board worked. Since my board is identical to your old one and mine needs to be replace can I ask where you got it and what is the part # you bought. When I looked up my board none were available.

Okay, I unplugged the 24 pin power ribbon from the main and added a 680 ohm resistor from pin 1 - 3 and read the 5v pin on the start up connector on the power board. The voltage now reads a steady 3v and the power does not go through a restart cycle. Pushing the power button had no effect on voltage. Checking the connections to the inverter revealed steady and accurate voltage. Is the 3v correct and enough to send a start signal?
So it looks like there is a problem with the main board, correct? Is there a way to isolate the component(s)...

I did not see a voltage change when pushing the on button. It stayed at 5.37 v until the red standby light on the front flickers once and the voltage dropped and everything started back up again. On the main board there is an optical sound plug that shines red. The light stays on for 10+ seconds and then is off for 3 seconds as if the system is rebooting. I also replaced 2 SR104B diodes on the power supply board because they were reading .204 v out of circuit but reading .972 one way and .178 the other while in circuit but that did not help....

I don't mean to but in but I have the same power supply board that is having a similar problem except the stand by red light is on but the briefly flashes. The cycle time seems to be ON for 10-12 seconds and OFF for 3 seconds. All of the power readings are good but something is causing a restart, any ideas? This was a set I bought cheap with the intention to repair but I new to the electronics trouble shooting.
