Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
How do you know that's what it is? Did you look it up somewhere or is this common knowledge for people who know electronics? Any 24 v zener diode will work? I've checked every diode around that one and checked several more out of circuit and found one that reads .1xx. I'm gonna replace that one too. Next I'm going to check mosfets and transistors. I found a repair kit at shopjimmy.Com and I'm making sure to check everything that comes in that kit also. Thank you!

Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
Well when I do a search for this part number NDTB024BST26 which is D614 all I get is a bunch of service manuals with this part number in them. If I can't get parts for it then I'll just chunk it in the trash.

I had to sit there and wait for 10 or 15 seconds before "get manual" showed up. Thanks.

Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
Does anybody at least have a schematic or drawing or something to tell me what each part is?

Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
So I desoldered the blown cap and then lifted a leg on the three zener diodes and checked them. D614 shows a dead short. What diode do I need to get and what else do I need to check?

Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
I'll try that tonight and see what happens. I'm sure there's more to fix but I'm in no hurry and I like learning and fixing things so.....

I thought the c stood for capacitor. Shows how much I know. Lol

Re: LC401EM2F hit by lightning
I used a different browser and it let me upload pics. I can take better pics in the daylight this afternoon if needed....Last edited by NXSLT1; 04-08-2015, 07:40 AM.

LC401EM2F hit by lightning
First let me say I am no repair technician by any means. I understand what the individual components do but that's about it.
I have an LC401EM2F that was hit by lightning a few days ago. The number on the board is BA01P0F0103 3. It does nothing. I have no standby light, no noise when I turn it on, nothing. The fuse is NOT blown. The only visual damage I see is c1733 on the backside of the board. I assume this is a capacitor but it's so small I almost need a magnifying glass to see what's left of it. Can this small part be bought and replaced and can someone tell me what part to...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
I'm from TN looking for help on repairing a TV. Seems to be some knowledgeable people on here.
