Re: Need help identifying solid(?) caps
It isn't an SMD capacitor since it had radial leads. Does anyone else have any helpful info?

I see where you would get the 33uF, but not the 2.5v?...

Need help identifying solid(?) caps
I have a friend who was trying to repair his own TV and brought me a cap he has failed to identify. I have pulled my hair out trying myself and decided to come to the experts.
I have attached an image of the cap. It is 10mm in diameter and 10mm tall. It has a 5mm spacing between the leads. It appears to be polarized as well. The markings on the top are:
35549
33

Thanks in advance!

Need help identifying replacement caps
Hi all!
I have a Magnavox 15MF605T/17 LCD Monitor that has two blown caps on the power input board. They are:
Capxon SZ 150uF, 25V, 8x7mm, 340 ripple, .40 impedence, 105C
Tried tracking down a replacement via Digikey search, but not having any luck. Any help you guys can give would be super appreciated!

I just noticed that the site no longer calls me a "Newbie"!
WooHoo!

Re: Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
Small change of plans. They were out of stock on the first line item (#1-2), so I substituted the HE series instead. I hate waiting for backorders....

Re: Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
OK, so it took me a few hours to do this, but I think I have my cart all set with the proper caps. Anyone that has an input, by all means, please give me any advice you think will help....

Re: Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
I could only find ripple values for most of the caps (RD & RG). So now I am looking for recommendations on replacement caps....

Re: Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
I can't seem to find a datasheet for the discontinued RG series. They only note that the RG series was replaced by the RD series. I have found the ripple for every RD model that would match up with the RG model. However, there is no RD model that would match #22. What should I do now?

Re: Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
Some of the caps are in hard to see spots, so my plan was to map out the caps (I simply use the full res photos), verify the PCB polarity notations, and then remove the caps I want to replace. Since I have stickers on each cap, I know where they belong.
After I have all the caps out, then I can identify all of them in a list and post them here. I think they are mostly Samwha caps. Most of them are too close together or too small to read their specs. I will have the list of caps and specs shortly.

Repairing Vizio P42ED PSU Board 53a
OK, since my first repair went well, I am moving on to my next project. This is a PSU board (53a) from a Vizio P42ED 42in Plasma EDTV. These boards are well known for early failures. I have counted a total of 37 caps. Out of these 37 caps, I am going to replace 31 of them. I am going to avoid replacing the 6 largest caps at first. I have tested them (sort of) and feel they are still functional. Not to mention that I have received advice that larger caps are less likely to fail than the medium to small sized caps.
On to some pictures so you all can see what I am working with......
