  • No sound from vintage Intergraph keyboard with speakers; TEA2025B powered..

I picked up one of those nifty old Intergraph keyboards with the built in speakers recently and I just attempted to test it. The keyboard works fine and feels pretty decent, but there is no sound coming from the speakers at all. The switches all seem to change the lights as expected (switching it on, switching between stereo and SRS mode, hitting mute, etc). The power LED does flicker once when I turn it on... like, it'll come on and go dim briefly, then come back on and stay on. It does this pretty much every time I switch it on. There is absolutely no hiss, pop, crackle or hum of any kind coming...

  • Re: Any use for an analog Voltmeter when I have a good DMM?

Thanks guys. I may run it by my friend to see if he has any suggestions. I hate to get rid of useful, working equipment... especially vintage stuff since it is generally possible to maintain older equipment essentially forever by replacing parts that wear out (compared to highly integrated newer devices). However, I can't think of the last time I set my DMM to AC voltage...

I mainly repair vintage PC components and boards. Once in a while I do some work the audio equipment but it isn't my area of expertise.

Does the analog AC Voltmeter offer any practical benefits over the little Fluke 75? It is very large and very specialized (as opposed to a DMM that can test many different...

  • Re: Retro comparison: Antec SP-500 and SP-400

Hello everyone, sorry for bumping an ancient thread, I just had a quick question about an old Antec SP-500 and wasn't able to post a new thread yet.

I bought one of these back in 2005 or so, and it started whistling some time after adding a Geforce 7950 GX2 in 2006 (who would have thought?). I bought an OCZ GameXStream 700W (which actually just died on me a month ago after 8 years of reliable use). I did RMA the PSU though, and got a replacement and it went into an old Athlon XP system for several years before being replaced....
