• Re: Panasonic TC-P50VT20 10 Blink Code

SC board repaired and TV is back up and running. I did have someone verify the buffer boards were still good. Ribbons had to be reseated (TV power off and disconnected from wall when reseating) as they werent inserted perfectly. Hopefully this helps the next guy.

Obvious things I learned.

1.) Look for obvious burn marks and off smells.
2.)The 10 blink diagnostic code was helpful, but it pointed me to a bad main or power first and that wasn't accurate. If I didn't see the SC board damage, I wouldn't have guessed...

Ok good to know. I'll report back with my findings after the SC board is fixed.

Due to the damage on the SC board, I am going to get that repaired first, have the buffers tested for damage, and then will diagnose from there. The no white screen makes me think a bad power board or SC board.

Just to help the next guy, it was a bad SS board. Used Oleg on ebay.

• Panasonic TC-P50VT20 10 Blink Code

Ok I have a Panasonic TC-P50VT20 TV that is exhibiting a 10 blink code error.

I have done some basic troubleshooting and hopefully someone could shed light on what is happening so I can replace/repair the correct board.

I have read the few documents on this issue related to 2010 models and it basically says, it's the A board, P board, SS board, or SC board.

I also read through this page https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=46753 and they had similar problems.

Well, I'm an idiot. I guess the previous owner took it upon himself to disconnect ribbons around the main and ss board. Once I reconnected everything I get 8 blinks. I'm doing my research now to hopefully diagnose this. Per Panasonic service repair guide, it can be ss, a, then panel.

EDIT:Just performed the ss33 connector, tv turns on fine with no blinks. Check continuity on pins 1 and 2 for all 4 connectors from ss to panel. Turned the ss board over and it looks like someone deepfried the back of this thing....

That is great to hear. Is there something I can do to verify a bad main before I order one? Thanks for the quick response.

• Panasonic TC-P50UT50 No Picture, Have Sound (No blinks)

So I just recently received a broken Panasonic TC-P50UT50.

TV turns on fine (I receive a status light when on, and status light turns off when i manually shut it down) with remote as well a physical buttons. I also get sound from the HDMI input.

The issue I am having is I get no picture. No glow, nothing.

I normally would say a bad SC board or a bad buffer board, but I normally have blinks to go on. This has no blinks.

Per Tom66's post,

So I am leaning on the SC board being my culprit at I get a OL reading in Ohms on the...

• Re: No sound from surround sound reciever! HELP!

I've gone thru all the menus and cannot find anything. I thought maybe it could be some kind of setup issue as well but there are no options for audio besides the simple bass, treble, balance. I called Polaroid's customer service and she thinks it's the sound system that cannot detect it. I think that it can be the problem as well. I've tried troubleshooting myself to figure out the problem and they only logical explanation is either the options on the TV itself or the surround sound system cannot decode the sound from the TV. It's...

• No sound from surround sound reciever! HELP!

Ok. Here is the problem. I recently purchased a 37" Polaroid LCD HDTV. Everything seems to be working fine on the TV except the sound. I know these TV's have crap sound so this is why I have always had my surround for movies and sports games, etc. Well I have an digital optical cable plugged up from my TV's audio out to my reciever. There's no sound. I try it on my previous tv and it works fine. I try regular audio (red/white) cables from the audio out on the tv to my reciever. Still no sound. I thought my reciever or my sound system is messed up but when I plug these exact same cables to...
