Half of the screen on this TV seems to have a green tint and flickering pixels in the affected colors. The picture is Still viewable but terrible to look at.
I attempted a tab fix by applying pressure but the picture didn't react to pressure on any of them, reseeting the tcon ribbons made no difference either.
There's 2 buffer boards(i think that's what they are, there non replaceable) and i have seen that I should check on some fuses, i'll be doing that next.
If anyone has any further tips I'd greatly appreciate it.

Yes, i tested it with the screen on, i would press them down and they would turn on, if i alternated ribbons it would result in a flicker i suppose. -

Yes, the ribbon cables must not have been making good contact, or weren't grounded?
To be honest i have no idea why i needed to tape them down, they were in nice and tight with all the plastic fasteners in place.

No matter though!
I discovered that the lights weren't leading up because the ribbon cables weren't flat against the board? I don't know why but all I had to do was press and down with a piece of tape.
It's been going strong for probably about an hour now without any more codes.

Update!
New inverter is in, the backlight now powers up!
That is for about a minute.
After about a minute it powers off with code 6.
Swapped out the BAL board to the new one I'm about to return, resulted with the same issue. The service manual points to the G board, i can only assume the power supply(g4e).
Another thing to note is that in the upper left corner theres a dark area like the LED isn't lighting up.
The BAL board doesn't have Panel_Fail as the service manual requests....Leave a comment:

yes lol on the spec sheet it shows infinite contrast because it can turn them all the way off

Yes, however the driver board is plugged into the T-Con board,
but on the other hand i still get full(picture and sound) functionality without the Driver plugged in.

I do see what looks to be a Fuse near CON10, which is by the power supply port.

The manual also points toward the Panel(balancer), I cannot tell if its refering to the T-Con or the Inverter(Driver)
the tv says its an LCD but it could be powered by LED bulbs or CCFL. I do know that it is edge-lit(variable) which makes me think LED's.Leave a comment:

You are right there is a 5th, I just tested it and it shows good in circuit.

I think i located 4 smd Fuses marked R in green on the inverter, i will test them now.
Can anyone see any through the potato picture I uploaded?
Edit: all 4 are fine in circuit on the inverter.
Tested some pads and discovered that when it starts it gets a high voltage of about 24v by the power supply inputs, it then slowly drops to about 15v where the power relay clicks off. It then continuously re-cycles.

My pal gave me this tv for 40$(Steal!)[list]
The tv would power cycle initially.(no picture or sound)
I was able to get 3.3v on the standby voltage at all times.
The on power and high voltage would be on for the first 2 seconds inbetween "clicks"
I replaced the BAL board and the same issue happened.
I was able to keep the power from cycling when the T-con board was disconnected from the Inverter. (This allowes me to update the firmware and get picture and sound but no backlight)
