Want to repair iMac 2009 A1312 EMC2309, Mac10,1
Bought an iMac 27inch 2009 core 2 duo version. Cannot power on when I first got it. So I dismantled it and check. Switch on the mains and the led 1 lights up, tried to power on, doesn't respond. So I was checking things out seeing if the connectors are in place. found the ODD fan wires loose, so I took it out and clean it up. Forgot to plug it back in and turn on the iMac. Saw the MOSFET D5600 smoking. Would like to seek for expert's help here, what could have caused the MOSFET to burn. What component should I buy to replace. Please refer to the attached picture....

Need help to identify this component on the panel Mini-UWG
Hi everyone, I was doing spring cleaning and came across a little box. This is a wireless lan USB print server. Model planes Mini-UWG. One of the component is burnt and the markings on it is charred. I would like to replaced it to repair, but couldn't make out the marlings. Luckily there 1 component exactly the same on the logic board.it says
Row 1 - 1550
Row 2 - C069
Row 3 - 7GC
I searched the internet but couldn't find any leads to the manufacturer or replacements. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You can see a shadow where the dell menu pops up (on the right).:
Attached the photos.I have replaced the T-con board. same results.
I tried removing the narrower cable(with the wider cable still attached) going from the processor board to T-con board and got this:

Re: Help needed Shuttle power supply
The PC was shutting down when there's a huge spark, after which the house circuit breaker was tripped.Last edited by tckoo1411; 06-05-2015, 03:44 AM.

Help needed Shuttle power supply
Hi all,
I am new here. currently I am trying to fix my shuttle power supply which went up in smoke the other day. Here's the model and some pictures:
Brand : Shuttle
Model : PC71I0005
Can anyone tell me the rating of the burnt resistor? On top of that, the 5v standby power regulator was burnt and I couldn't identify the part number. Will upload the pictures once I get home. Anyone's help is much appreciated!!! Thanks....

Re: Samsung ln40a530p1fxza Loud screeching noise no screen
Hi, sorry to hijack the thread. I was looking at the circuit diagram posted on Tom's web site and would like to clarify something. On my power board, RM852 and RM853 is burnt and I would like to replace it. On the circuit diagram, it days 3.9KRF. Is the resistance of the SMD resistor 3.9kOhm? Thanks.

Re: Replacing primary power cap for shuttle silent X 350watt
I understand that, that's y I want to increase the power output. V is fixed. I want to increase the current. I know that it's something to do with the primary switcher rating. But I am not really sure which is the primary switcher in the PSU, so assuming they have oversized the switcher, will increasing the capacitance of the primary cap also increase the power output?
P.S: i am not a electrician by practice, just know some simple electronic stuff. Any comment is appreciated. THanks....

Re: Replacing primary power cap for shuttle silent X 350watt
Ya, After I have off the comp and open the PSU, I touch around in the PSU and found that the Cap is still hot. Other components are either not that hot or have cooled to a lower temp. So I should increase the voltage rating instead of the capacitance rating?...Last edited by tckoo1411; 07-24-2010, 04:09 AM.

Replacing primary power cap for shuttle silent X 350watt
Hi all, this is my first post for this forums. I have a shuttle SN25P and i have recap the board with rubycon ZL and MBZ. Now i am moving to the PSU. First I have replaced the 20v 2200uf teapos secondary caps with nichicon HM onces. Then I looked at the primary cap which is a Panny 270uF 400V FM. I am thinking if I should replace it with a higher rating one as it gets pretty hot(I think it's one of the hottest component in the PSU). My config is 2gig ram, opteron 175, one 500wd blue, one 1000wd black and a asus 4770 with plenty USB peripherals. So i am thinking if changing the primary 270uF 400v...
