I see, I dont have any hardware programming tool or anything, I guess will just have to leave it as it is.

Hi, thanks for the reply. I have run the BIOS update program and selected the option to Create Recovery USB Flash Drive, and copied the bin file from there, is that the right way to get the dump?...Leave a comment:

Sony SVS13a1s9e - Sound issue
I have a a couple of these motherboards (Sony vaio SVS13A1S9ES) where there is no sound device detected. I've tried reinstalling the OS etc, but looks like a hardware issue with the sound on the motherboard, The sound device does not get detected within any Operating System.
I also have another one of these that is completely dead, not sure if anyone can take a look at these.

Hi, I've just come across this Thread, I've had a Dell 3008WFP monitor for a 7-8 years but now suddenly doesn't power up. I was wondering if anyone would be able to fix it for me. I can try taking the power supply unit out and posting for repairing if anyone can help me on this? Im not too keen on soldering as i've never done any previously and don't want to risk damaging it further. Please let me know if anyone can help and how much it'll cost.

Hi, I have 2 or 3 of the VPCSB laptops with these MBX-237 Motherboards, 2 x i5's and 1 x i7. Does anyone in UK offer a repair service on this board, i'd like to get them repaired if possible. I have no experience of soldering. I normally just swap out laptop components to get laptops working again so left with these faulty ones. Preferably want to get the i7 repaired.
