Thanks for all your help Tom, strangely enough I usually watch films via USB a couple of weeks previous it wouldn't work then a couple of nights later it did work so maybe it was the start of the failure I don't know.Do you happen to know where to source these or is it not worth it.Thanks againLeave a comment:

As the on button is touched or remote button pressed the screen actually brightens momentarily as though its coming on then back to black.Leave a comment:

Tv turned on I changed channel then screen went pink for about a second then went black. When power applied, led comes on and goes off as normal when power button pressed. The screen lightens momentarily but returns to permanent black. There is no sound. I have checked all the voltages on the boards and connecters as described in the service manual and they all seem OK. There is a very slight hum on the Y board so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation. -

Thanks for replying Tom .yes I do have a multimeter and am able to use it. As I said previously I have checked all voltages as described in service manual.All panel voltages plus all on connecters between boards.I am a bit pushed for time right now, work calling.I can sort some pics out later. Lg 50pz560t
I have an LG 50pz570T with a black screen and no sound. It started when I switched on, changed channels and the whole screen turned a light purple then switched off. Have checked all the voltages as given in the service manual and they all check out OK. The standby led lights when plugged in and goes off when the on button operated and there is a very slight hum coming from the Y board so I am suspecting that but not been experienced enough I don't know. Any help would be most appreciated -

Started off early teens making project's from Practical Wireless magazine such as the famous stylophone. Worked 2 years as apprentice electrician the went into the chemical industry for 35 years.
