Still running the PSU 24/7 after 10 years of recap. Maybe I should check the inside and measure it is still good

The PSU is supplying power for HTPC running 24x7. So +50000 hours before caps replacement. However the load is very low, maybe max 150W and average 50-60W.
After caps replacement it is going good almost for one month now.
Before I had weekly errors with GPU, though it is graphics card or Nvidia driver failing, but probably it was the PSU bad caps......Leave a comment:

And here is the idle voltages after recap. Checked with cheap digital multimeter. Haven't yet checked with load.

I bought this monitor 6 Feb 2008.
Warranty repair on 9 Nov 2010 (led just blinking). They replaced the caps.
Dunno what caps they used for replace, but still working fine.

Would 3300uF handle higher loads then better? The bloated one was 6.3v 2200uF. So maybe I'll consider to replace with 3300uF. About impedance should that be about the same? Better to be lower or higher? How about ripple?...Last edited by Bogey; 03-05-2015, 05:03 AM.Leave a comment:

The large one is Nippon Chemi-Con smq 85°C
E8200, yes thank you, that was very good for initial research.
FR having bit longer life time and it is cheaper so I'll get those.
At least Elfa has good stock, but I'll compare other shops as well.
For OST RLS 68uF 25V, would Panasonic FM 35V be OK replacement?

I have some 6 years old Antec NEO HE 550 PSU and one capacitor has bloated.
It is OST 2200uF 6.3V.
I'm going to replace all caps.
