Re: List of Bad Cap Manufacturers
Wow, what an eye opener.
Did not even realize there were THAT many brands of Elytics....but I am not into computers.
In the guitar amp world we pretty much see:
TAD
F&T
IC
Xicon
Nichicon
IC had a bad run of 20/450 axils a few years back. I guess it was the whole... bad Elytic Paste scenario.
Other than that, we do not see any failures to speak of.
best

Increasing RAM in a laptop
My wife has a Dell Inspiron E1405. She wants me to add memory. I work on tube guitar amps, I have never been inside of a laptop computer. Can any of you guys advise me regarding where to purchase more memory, how much I can/should buy, and how to install it?
Thank You
The current specs are:
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor 2MB/1.83GHz/667MHz
1 GB shared dual channel DDR2 SDRAM 533MHz 2 DIMM

Re: Recommend me a MultiMeter
I have had this meter for almost 2 years. It has been very durable and accurate. It will only take 2 amps of current. I work mostly on tube guitar amps, so the 2 amp limit is 20 times higher than I will ever need for most of my stuff.
Good Luck
