Re: LG Scarlet 47LG60
No I have not. I tried taking the back off but I removed all the screws and something was still holding it on, something g to do with where the circle is that turns the tv on. I couldn't figure it out so I left it alone. I watched a few YouTube videos but couldn't figure it out. I'll look at it more when I get home in a short while. I'll take some pics of the main board also if I can and thank you for the help.

Anyone else think its the ballast? And that is what the lamp plugs into right?

Re: Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
And yes I changed lamps because when I first looked it up I saw people say I g bad bulb. But then I was looking for people who changed the bulb and still had a problem and I heard the lamp driver was bad. I called Sony just to see what they said and someone said tcon board but then when I called back and asked for a price they said they can't give diagnosis so I don't know why I was told tcon but I called a technician and they said the tcon is built into the main board. I'm really just confused but the diagram I uploaded says that 5 blinks is a lamp driver...

Re: Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
OK the ballast part number is bau-1001//q and I can't find one online but someone elsewhere said that a different part number ha01641 would also work the same and there is one on amazon for sale. Does anyone know if this part will indeed work with my TV please and thank you

Re: Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
So would that be what the lamp plugs in too which I'll try again to post a picture of. And would that damage on the optical block cause a problem?

Re: Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
OK now this is what I believe is the lamp driver but I don't know. I'm thinking this may be the piece that needsbto be replaced. The part in my hands is the part the lamp plugs into. I thought this was a power supply but now I don't know.

Re: Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
On a side note I have ordered two new lamps tried them and they would work then after a few hours the TV would be blinking red so I ordered just a new bulb and put it in the original housing and nothing.

Sony Wega kdf-55e2000
Hey I got this TV and turned on and worked fine the later turned off. The light blinks red 5 times. Sony said that means a bad tcon board. I took the TV apart and the only visual damage is what I believe is the optical block. Anyway I'm trying to figure out what is the tcon board and is there a way to test it.

Lg
Hey guys I have a LG flat screen I got from my boss from Christmas. When I got it home and plugged it in it had flickering horizontal lines. I asked my boss about it and he said it would usually do that before it warmed up. It does it on all channels and inputs. Sometimes when I turn the TV on the screen will light up but still be black and I can hear sound but no picture. I don't know if the problems are related but is there any ideas on how to figure out exactly what part needs be replaced. I also considered maybe when I moved it I just shook something loose but idk any help is appreciated and...
