Update... I replaced the t-con board and it didn't make any difference (maybe a little worse). So I threw in the towel and took it to my local TV repair dude. He had it about a week, left it on overnight, and didn't see the problem - it was working fine. I picked it up and took it home and the problem still hasn't returned after a week or so. So... no clue what the issue was or what fixed it.

Thanks I appreciate all the advice. I don't know if this matters but I didn't mention that when the unit is cold and first powered on the picture is fine but then the problem shows up after 10 minutes or so.Leave a comment:

I'm new to the forum any help is appreciated.
My Samsung UN46D6050TF suddenly has a blurry image and horizontal lines (see attached). After educating myself as much as I could and taking a guess, can this be a problem with the t-con board? For $40 or so it seems worth a try replacing it than taking it to the TV shop.
