Ok I've put the caps in and now I'm getting a blinking led code of 18 blinks. And then I get some horizontal lines appear on the top of screen and over time more will appear and disappear. The tcon is built into the main board and when I remove one side of the lvds cable then that side of the screen goes white and the other side is grey with the backlight on. Does anyone have any ideas? We are thinking it's the main board but can't even see one of them for sale in the uk. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

Tom, would it help at all that the guy we had it off said it was working fine and he took it to Switzerland and it was still working but then stopped whilst over there and started with this blinking error code, would that have anything to do with it or am I just clutching at straws?Last edited by Soltys; 02-18-2015, 05:21 AM.Leave a comment:

The readings come back as follows, Whilst cycling the error code
PS ON 0v At power on 3v initially then drops to 0v
AC DET 3.13v
PNL POWER 0
BU5V 5.01
UR15V 0
UR15V 0
UR15V 0
S15V 0
S15V 0

Hi folks, I'm hoping someone can help.
I've got a Sharp Aquos LC32X20E in that has a flashing light error of LED x 2 OPC x 3
After speaking to sharp customer support (who weren't much help) the error was pointed towards either firmware upgrade or power supply issue.
I've done the firmware upgrade and also after testing the power board the error pointed at a Schottky diode which I've replaced. However the tv is still stuck with the blinking error code cycle. Before fitting the new diode I could force the tv on, However now I cannot.
Any help would be greatly appreciat... -
