    Our LE40C530F1W has started to fail after reading forums like this one we have tried to repair the PSU (BN44-00340b)
    The TV itself will come on after 5 flashes of the red led if it's been off a good while or unplugged and the power button held for 10 -15 seconds.
    Once the TV is on its absolutely fine but if placed in standby it wont come on atall although a couple of days ago it took a good few minutes to start up but now it just wont start dark screen no image behind and no power red light....

    Have now tried to reset the EEPROM on the main board with no further success as I have read that the EEPROM files can become corrupt when the capacitors deteriorate. Therefore I reset the EEPROM to try and rule this option.

    This process made [B]absolutely no difference[/B] to the back light flashing on for 2 seconds.

    Can anybody suggest anything to check or try next?

    Hi fairly new to this game....

    I have a samsung LE32R87BD whcih appears to of had two problems the usual slow to come on and finally not even come on which as been resolved by the replacement of the electrolytic caps on the cold sides on the PSU board (BN44-00156A)

    I have a TV that now comes on and shows me a great picture for 1-2 seconds then the back-light goes off. I can still see the image by shining a bright light on the panel. The audio is working beautifully.
