Hello. Very helpful forum and thread! I was also able to diagnose and fix the bad EEPROM problem with my Vizio E320-A1 TV following the thread info. In my case the problem was intermittent. The backlighting would not properly power-up maybe 50% of the time. Would unplug the TV for 20 sec, then wait another 20 sec after applying AC power before cycling the Power button. Eventually it would power-up OK. My TV is used with a cable converter box and the cable box must be disconnected or off for the power cycle trick to work. I suspect voltage...
