Re: Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
Yes, I tried a different HDMI cable. I actually tried a different source for the HDMI signal too, again, nothing. The monitor just says no signal.
Thanks

Re: Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
No message of resolution not supported. I've also tried connecting my Playstation 3 to the TV using the HDMI port, again, nothing.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
Yes, when the VGA cable is plugged into both the laptop and TV, the laptop adjusts its resolution, but nothing on the TV. The only thing that appears on the screen is a box that says "no signal."

Re: Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
I tried the Insignia website. I found it when I searched on NS-LCD26. The unit pictured is the set I'm working on.
The model number printed on the back of the TV does says NS-LCD26A though.

Re: Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
Thanks everyone,
So far I have tried using both the VGA and HDMI ports with no success. The TV turner works fine and I get a picture, but when I connect anything to VGA or HDMI the screen just stays black.
I have tried entering the reset codes, that hasn't resolved the issue.
The computer I used for the VGA signal was just used in a presentation. It was connected to a LCD projector and worked fine. I have also tried a second laptop and it didn't work either. (I've even tried different VGA cables)....

Insignia NS-LCD26A no VGA or HDMI
Hi,
I recently acquired an Insignia NS-LCD26A TV. The TV works with an antenna feed attached to it. My problem is that since the TV has a VGA input I was considering using it as a large monitor. I connected the laptop to the TV, activated the dual display on the laptop, switched the TV to VGA and nothing, just a black screen with no vga displayed on it. I have also tried connecting a Sony PS3 to the TV through the HDMI ports and got a similar message from the TV.
I assumed that this inability to display a different input was a fault of the main system board, so I...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi
I've been playing around with computers since the Apple II. Today, I provide consulting services to small businesses and maintain PC's for clients as a part time job.
Recently, I just started trying to fix an LCD TV and monitor, and this looked like a great place to get some guidance.
