    Re: Rca rhos651sm and rhos581sm

I have since tried everything including changing the ribbon cable. I also was given a RHOS581sm that has the exact same problem. I know this is a panel issue but I would love to get a detail bypass or fix. They are still decent TV's to put in the garage. I know this issue is more common than stated just hoping somebody found the problem.

If you want to sell those parts i might try my hand at it. Mine worked fine all week and then started with the lines again. I disconnected the ribbon cable for each the left side and right side of the panel and tried it and same thing. I would love to save this TV. Since jonatan tried replacing all different boards I have to deduct that it is the panel. But why would it just happen here and there and some weeks be totally ok?

    Re: Rca rhos651sm

Same tv and same issue sometimes it could work for a week no issues then all a sudden when powering on those lines start from top left to right and slowly goes to the bottom screen freezes and goes dark little by little. sound is ok. will sometimes get it back by powering off several times until it comes back. there is a small squealing sound from power board when it does this and the image flickers lightly then I know it is going to happen soon. If it would be the panel is there a fix?

  • Re: Bad power supply

Just as a note I received a couple of RCA rldedv3988-A and in 2 of them there is a board AY075C-1SF14-080 that is identical to the AY068C-1SF22 i tried it in the TV and it works great the L1 inductor is a different kind its horizontal and if i look on ebay its called radial. It is the only part in the board that is different so I guess Curtis knows it was a problem and upgraded the boards accordingly. If anyone knows where i could get either board please let me know.
