Asus TP412UA DEAD
HI all. I have here 2 identical asus laptops ,TP412UA, that are dead(probable cause , one of the ac adapters is bad). No power up on ac adapter or battery, no sign on life when adapter is pluged in, no response from power button, nothing.
Taking as reference the measurements from this post

I don't have any short on any coil, but, without battery, when I give 19v on dc jack, the consumption... -

Unfortunately the behaviour is exactly the same..Same consumption, same backlight only, still no response from capslock, no video ....I have to dig more to find out what's wrong.

This laptop came in with no video , only backlight on ....Tested on HDMI , the same...no response from capslock, nothing...I think BIOS is corrupted somehow. Can anyone take a look?

Hi guys
An update....I wanted to try this and I write the OP's backups to my board, the laptop started this time (I have a corrupt bios, indeed) in manufacturing mode and complains about service tag is empty .
The problem is I enter Bios, enter service tag in the corresponding field, but it's not saved at all...every time the laptop starts, is in manufacturing mode , says service tag error ,even if I press ALT+F, it's allways the same.
So it seems that I have a corrupt bios and I need the original cleaned...Leave a comment:

I think I have the same problem here, same board....Laptop starts, keyboard flashes 2 times, once per second, and after that restarts itself and repeat the same pattern...So I Think I have a corrupt BIOS.

Finally a working bios dump for this board.....It's a clean dump extracted from HP bios update executable and inserted the DMI and Win info...
Now the image appears in time and the boot is fast as it should be.

Hi...Thanks for the DMI info....
Unfortunately with this dump it takes 2-3 minute for the image to appear at start up , reset and even at "save and exit" from bios .....I think it's too long and is somehow unacceptable....
I will search the net or wait until a compatible dump for this mainboard appears...
If anyone know a good dump for this , please let me know.
