Well what'dya know..It was a tab, pressed it and it fixes itself. Already fixed it up, taped a piece of old intertube on both sides and shut it and voila, tv works. Tab was the first one on the right.Leave a comment:

And now weirdly enough after letting it stay on for abit, the screen flickered and the darkness swapped to the left side instead of the right, so i guess that rules out a bulb.Leave a comment:

I turned the brightness all the way up and now, the dark spot looks normal. I've got company over now, I'll take the panel off later and try the tabs, but hopefully its not that.Leave a comment:

I saw on the sticker of the back of screen itself that its a CCFL, were it a bulb, would it be easy to replace/cost effective? I got the tv free so i don't mind spending some to fix it up if I can.Leave a comment:

Alright, reseated everything, dusted everything and I do mean everything, down to the backlight inverter and now the horizontal lines are gone but the dark on the right side is still there.Leave a comment:

Hey there, i have a Sanyo Dp46840 that I got from my neighbor. It has two problems. The first being that the right side of the screen is darker than the left and the second being that it has horizontal lines running through the bottom half of the screen. I've taken it apart and checked the t-con board and reseated all connections and that didn't seem to fix it. Should I try a replacement T-con board?
