Dell 1905 fp
Greetings all,
After fixing the Acer 1716 , The Dell 1905fp decided it did not want to play and turns the screen black after a few seconds.
Question, how do you get the back panel off ?

Re: Dell 1704FPT
I know this is an old thread, but I have a question. IS there a schematic for this board?

Re: Acer 1716 problems
Yes, but my Dell 1704 died. Screen lights up for ~ 2 seconds and shuts off.

Re: Acer 1716 problems
Well the caps are bad , I pulled @ break tine @ Work , Put the LCR across them the 1000ufd where measure 8 ufd and the 470 & 220 where measuring 1 ufd @ 1khz. Also found a few bad solder connections around to power and inverter transformers.
I think the new caps in are in place it will work again. Maybe

Re: Acer 1716 problems
Here is a picture of mine , I see "6" swollen caps. Figured for ~ $10.00 it's worth a shot.
Sorry for the poor quality pictures .
God Speed, Fred...
