First thing is first get a decent cpu monitor. Coretemp / HWmonitor. Second it is always a good idea to ensure your browser is up to date. You would be surprised of the memory leaks in the older browsers. Memory usage = cpu usage. The posters above are correct. If your cpu is not colling properly then you got a problem. Clean out your fan and heatsink and also renew the thermal paste. Clean both heatsink and cpu with something like isopropranol or a cpu cleaner.
