Re: Acer X233H - bad CCFL

Thank you for the links. I have dismantled my LCD display unit to get to the CCFLs. I would like to defer to expertise here to inform me if I should replace all 4, or just the one that causes the display issues.

I have the attached photos:

The two photos of the CCFLs with the larger blackened areas are the same CCFL. I've identified it as the cause of the "2 secs to black" before I even saw them.

But looking at the others I wonder if they all should be replaced....

I would rather not revive an over-one year old thread, but this is the only thread that references the monitor model Acer X233H and my monitor is experiencing the same issue. But my monitor was a little orange on the lower end compared to the top. It flickered a little before going all black.

I had an old monitor with bad caps that I have been lazy to fix. I took it apart and used its CCFLs as a spare, and they stayed...

Hello all. Joining here because I have two monitors that could potentially be salvaged.

And hoping I can get a motherboard working again. I have a dead mobo that I can do plenty of testing on.
