Have the exact same problem. Anyone out there have some service manual or schematics you could share? Cannot find these anywhere. Replacing a regulator would be a wonderful trick, but need to narrow it down a bit in terms which regulator to check. The only service information I found so far is this

These are much better than nothing, but not quite detailed down to specific regulators....
