Re: General Transformer Question
I was just curious. I think it is just glue, but I saw it as I was replacing some caps that were bulging and thought I would ask. I am now replacing 4 more caps on the sub board that are the same size and type as the two bulging caps. I think once I have that done the power on problem should be fixed. I will update as I learn more.

Re: Samsung HLT6187 power supply cap issuee
Yes Tom you are correct. That was one of the reasons i bought this tv as the leds were advertised as having an 80,000 hour life span, and no bulb to need to change every couple years. For some reason though the red led fails prematurely at around $100 to $130 a pop, every couple years, just my luck though. Thanks also Ltank for the replies and dont feel bad, even the tech at the repair store i went to kept trying to sell me a bulb or color wheel. After multiple times trying to get him to understand that this model didnt have them, I stopped...

Samsung HLT6187 power supply cap issuee
In my 62in Samsung HLT6187 i found 2 bulging caps on the secondary power board i replaced them with new caps. Does anyone have experience with this issue on these tvs it is an led dlp tv. It cycles through the power up for a few secs than all three leds on the front flash three times and than it repeats. It started out taking longer and longer to turn on each time until finally it just cycles through without ever coming on. I am going to replace the rest of the caps on the board even though they are not bulging yet. Any advice would be appreciated
