    -STJ -

All the photos so far are in my second my post.
I'm going to take measurements again, and do better documentation on it.
I think the PFC is running, i measured the same voltages on both the good and the bad.

    -CapLeaker-
That's how i know one of the power supplies is bad, one PSU worked in both of the systems.
I haven't measured the PSU under load, and would rather not atleast within the PS4/ connected to the Mainboard. Was wondering about doing this but dont know what load/ ohm i should apply to it.

Took voltage measurements all the chips measured the same

    Bottom Side

4 little chips are DAS09, for signal conditioning

One on the high side is DDA001AG Can't find much out about this chip... except its on EBAY

Lower side is DNP012A having problems getting specs of this chip as well

And on the top side, a DNP015

Going to power everything back up and check their pins, atleast the ones i can get specs for and compare them with the good supply.

I'll get the chips listed, the little one on the topside 8 pin guy, is power control chip...

Thing i dont understand is that the voltage outputs are correct...

I'm not exactly sure whats on the bottom, except for the optocouplers for sure.

IF your talking about the white thing sticking from under, that would be a pizza crumb...

Are there 2 PFC circuits on the bottom of the board, one for High and Low side?

It doesn't seem to be the typical SMPS, with a main Mosfet, it has several.

I'v metered a bunch of components nada, everything looks fine

I was hoping when I powered it on, it would show a low on one of the rails, but their identical pretty much and probably within specs.

I looked into the optocouplers and found them on mouser or digi pretty much saying their low quality and not recommended way to go sony...

Maybe its the feedback circuit, and PWM.

Was wondering if anyone else has seen this...

  • Ps4 smps

Ok, as the title suggests this the SMPS found from a PS4

    Here's a little run down

    I have 2 PS4s

One system boots up, the other attempts to turn on and the quickly shuts down, SMPS ISSUE

The good power supply keeps both systems on.

    Next

I'v measured the voltages across both SMPS, by manually turning them on

    12 11.85 on both units
    5v ~4.7 on both units

I can't seem to see what's the problem here with the bad supply...

    Current issues?

    I'm measuring across the transistors..

Haven't bought a board, but probably will, i bought an IGBT that looks shorted..

Across pin Emitter and collector pin... The diode packages, think their shotkey or some double diode variant... appear to be fine.

I de-soldered the pins to try and isolate the short.... but its alot of shorts by the looks of it... pretty much all the same you've replaced on that SC board you did... Q6xxs, etc...

I did goto school for electronics so i know a bit more then the basics......

  • Re: Panasonic TH-P50X20

I figured im just going to buy a new SC board, for <$40....

Then the only problem i have, is the 13v Audio power not being present on the main board, with the hdmi inputs...

I thought it wa kind of ironic and idiotic that the TV will goto into protection mode if it doesnt have the 13v Audio Power...

I poked around but can't seem to find the issue...

Does anyone know what components commonly fail, for the 13V Audio Power?

IC 771, across the pins to showed, i get 18ohms both lead directions

Forgot to mention i have the service manual, and the resistance check sequence... nothing seems to be bad.

What i have, is when i turn the tv, on with everything is connected... relays click/ energize, shut off... then on next power button press, just the green light turns on then off...

If i disconnect the SC board... the Relays will fire for each power button press..

Before i replaced D441... with SC board.. the relays would fire every time.. with all boards connected...

    Till after the 3rd,...

  • Re: Panasonic TH-P50X20

Well I replaced D441, D451 was fine, and an IGBT, but im measuring shorts across all the IGBTs, Emitter to collector... like 1ohm... The new has the same characteristics unless i bought a blown on from some

Is the collector to emitter suppose to be 1 ohm? Something doesnt seem right, and the new measures the same..

This is on the SC board...

Yea, thats where all these Renesas parts seem to be from, and shipping form mouser was only 7.99, says $30 at first but ebay has them for like $4 with shipping i think, in USA

  • Re: Panasonic TH-P50X20

Is there a substitute on mouser for the

    Q661 - RJP63F3A On SC board

Ebay says its a mosfet, and rens... data sheet says its an IGBT which it is an IGBT

The shipping on mouser is killing me already at $30... and if im going to order from them i might as well get aleast $5-10 in parts ...

I did some filtering and didnt find any that were rated 630V Collector to emitter voltage

Nvm thats good enough, i appreciate the fast reply

I got it now, K6 is type, 06 is date code..

Awesome i tried finding this information but wasnt easy or clear as this datasheet

    Thank you!

Hi, I'v been working on the Sanyo variant of this TV, I'v found a few shorted chips and replaced them,

But now the D451 smt diode that says K606 on it, is shorted...

I cant find this part anywhere, Does anyone know the part number to this diode, Or a schematic for the actual SS board...

All i can find is service manuals with main board schematics...

    D451 - ?
