Re: HP Pavillion 23" AIO won't power up, Motherboared PWR LED flashes briefly!
th3 un1qu3, it's a brand new motherboard, not that it is impossible for it to be bad, just highly unlikely.
What about the power supply(which is new too)? It is an HP OEM, bad switching power supply design?
btw thanks for reply

Re: HP Pavillion 23" AIO won't power up, Motherboared PWR LED flashes briefly!
To all who maybe able to help, the one thing that defeats the "bad/defective POWER On/Off switch" (as the cause) is that with that scenario, the PWR LED next to the power in jack is LIT.
For some reason with all NEW components in this HP23 Touchsmart, that same PWR LED only flashes momentarily and then goes out.
Is it safe/correct to assume that if the PWR LED is NOT lit, there is no power to the motherboard?...

HP Pavillion 23" AIO won't power up, Motherboared PWR LED flashes briefly!
I'm hoping someone else has had this problem or has seen/heard of it before.
I have an HP Pavilion 23-H TouchSmart All-In-One computer that won't power up. Initially I believe it took a power surge and cooked the mother board and power supply.
I have replaced, Motherboard, CPU, and Ram, CMOS battery and the power supply(with a genuine HP OEM unit).
Whereas before when I first looked at this unit there was nothing happening, no lights, fans, boot up, NOTHING.
VOM confirmed power supply was dead.
I installed all of the above new replacement components...Last edited by pclaptop; 09-17-2017, 05:04 PM.

Mitsubishi WD60735 cant find caps!
Concerning the blinking green light ONLY problem, when I search google, "WD60735 has blinking green light", EVERY bad cap result/post for this Mitsubishi say "Change the "7" bad 1000uf caps (to 680uf) on the power board!"
There are no 1000uf caps (never the less "7" of them) on the PWR board! I see two 2200uf caps!
If I have committed a major faux pas, could an admin move this to a "new thread" post?Concerning the blinking green light ONLY problem, when I search google, "WD60735

Re: Mitsubishi DLP WD60735
I will start a new thread but have to make a few posts first. My WD60735 has the BLINKING green light and nothing past that! A google says the caps have gone bad on the PWR board!
So rather than go into more detail here I will start a new thread!

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
OK hello all my foray into the badcaps forum has to to with a Mitsubishi DLP WD60735 that has the dreaded blinking green light. I will try to post my question/query in the Troubleshooting TVs and Video Sources forum, which is where I had seen a link to problems with the WD60735!
Good to be here . . .
