Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
ok...so do you think the problem is in the panel? and the other circuits boards outside are ok?
how much are you sure? 90% 50% ?
looks like an epic work.......

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
i did, but if i put the red one on vo1 and the black on the gnd, i get negative results. if i invert the multimiter wire, i get something around 30 that slowly decrease...

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
ok
with BOTH the resistor i get something around 30V that slowly drops, BUT with the ground of the multimeter on VO1 and the red one on the GND
if i use the red wire with the positive and the black on the gnd (as it should be used) the indicator goes below 0......
i never put a resistor on the vadj pin....there is a misunderstanding somewhere...
pin2 ---resistor---5v
pin3----resistor---5v
now you are talking about a resistor on the pin1 (vadj)...

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
yes i see the flash
i had to test the vo1 vo2...with the resistor? i removed it before testing.
now i test again.
thank you....

i really don't know
how much should be the voltage?
is there something else to do?...

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
no, show UNDER 0...
the indicator goes below 0, for all of them...Last edited by wash; 12-11-2014, 03:53 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
when i tested it before, it was 0.2 volt
i was using another ground, now using the grounds near the vo1 etc, the indicator of the multimeter goes UNDER the 0, what does it means?...

there is something we can do about it?...

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
i have to measure it with the 2 resistor on the pin 2 and 3?

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
ok, it doesn't happen, no flash, nothing....Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 09:21 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
i reinsert the PS ON wire?
after i connect the resistor between the on off and the 5v i have to measure the voltage on the big caps?
done.
what should happen? nothing strange happens....Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 08:24 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
ok so i remove the cable on the pin3, then i put a 1k between the pin 3 and one of the pin 5v (pin 12-14) then i check the voltage on the 2 big caps.
correct?
done.
it stays at @400VDC...Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 06:51 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
yes the PS ON is on the pin 3, but the 5VSTBY pin....i can't find it
is the 5v-sense?...Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 06:21 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
i start with the monitor off (linked to ac and to pc)
it's around 320
then i click the ON button, the blu led goes on, the voltage go to around 400-410v, (the monitor flash the pc image as usual) then it drops after 2 second to 320v....Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 04:59 PM.

Re: HP ZR2740w almost dead
where i have to put the ground of the multimeter? if i put the red cable on the + of the capacitor and the black (ground) in the negative, i have something more than 150v, (they are 250v caps 220uF)
this picture is ok?...Last edited by wash; 12-10-2014, 02:44 PM.
