    I will do thanks, there seems to be three diodes in the set and according to the schematic diagram they are listed as sb5100 diodes?

    Interestingly though, the diagram shows three diodes, but the are only two on my board with a vacant place for the third. If I order the uf5408 diodes you kindly linked me to, should I fit all three?

    I, like many people have stumbled accross this forum whist googling why my tv is dead and what a great forum it is too, I have learnt so much!

    Woohoo I removed the three diodes from the board and there appears to be one that has shorted as it has continuity in both directions?

    I re-fitted the two good diodes and breifly powered up the tv and it works!

    My question is, will I be able to get some replacements from the likes of Maplin?

    Can somebody please point me in the right direction of where to buy them and what part number to ask for?

    The numbers on the diodes look like SB5B0?

    Does that mean anything to anyone?

    Hi, sorry for the newbie question but I have a totally dead lcd tv with the same vestel 17ips61-2 power board.

    I'm hoping mine has a faulty diode too?

    Can anybody point me in the direction of where to buy replacement diodes?

    Any help will be really appreciated thanks
