I have the same problem with this monitor,
there is no 5v with picture board pluged in power supply , but if unplug picture board then 5v is stable, then i can plug picture board and monitor is starting. Still not solved this problem, if anybody know something about this problem please advice how to solve it. Thanks !

GDDR3 memory compatibility
Does anybody know how to know wich memory chip on video card is compatible and can be interchanged with Samsung GDDR3 k4j52324qe-bj1a.
I have one video card on wich is missing one memory chip. Chips thet is installed on my card when searching on the web is imposssible to find. Somme others similar yes, but how can i be shure thet with this diferent serie chip my card will working corectly.
Any help on this matter is greatly appricieted,

This will be the only way to find out what is wrong with this power supply.
Me to take it apart completly and measure all component one by one. There was somme example in my repair history when even this last resort metod didnt push the piece of equipment to work, but if you dont do it you will never know. One time when i was repairing cheap 350w pc power supply thet have a problem in +5v output, was unstable from 5.3v to 6v and everithing else was ok. After taking all measurement on the component inside this power supply and didnt found...Leave a comment:

Me to tested this two diodes, and was ok. Used a lab power supply and a serial resistor with diodes. Think was a 1 kohm resistor, and both zener start to drow curent near to 18v and 30v.
This flicker problem is more serious thet was my problem with no power at all.Leave a comment:

Problem is in equipment grounding and 0 wire ?
My instalation at home dont have 3 wire instalation, only 2 wire is present, and the ground is bridged on 0 to be grounded in hi voltage transformer station. So if a resistance betwen a pc ground and outlet 0 or ground is infinite maybe this will be anough to isolate the equipment .Leave a comment:

think thet maybe an ups is an isolation transformer to, i dont know what for shure if it is when is conected to ac plug in the wall, maybe will be good to find some way to measure this and be completly shureLeave a comment:

My scope working on power adapter, from 230v ac to 12v dc, and is conected to pc with paralel cable. The manual say thet ground from scope is conected to
pc ground. So in this case maybe will be beter to run Pc, monitor, and scope with ups when measurment is done on hi voltage circuit. Maybe one day i will buy a isolation transformer for complete system, will need about 400w of power. So a 500w will be one option to buy, and i dont know the cost of this transformer.Leave a comment:

I m using a esr micro from Mike Klykov. Measure esr from 0.01 ohm to 160 ohm, and capaciti from 1 to 60000 microfarad. Verry good instrument for a not to manny money. Came with bateries inside and i m usin him for over a year and batteries are still ok. Came with manual and completly assembled, and in manual you can find a most common capacitor esr aproximate values. I think was 100$ with postal charges, and arive to me in four days, instrument was 55$ i think and postal charges was 45$.Leave a comment:

Pico osciloscope adc200/50
Hi to all,
Today i just bought my first scope.
Is a digital pc scope, Pico adc200/50. Have 20v max voltage and 25mhz 2 channel. Have one probe 10x, this will be for 200v, but will buy a 100x probe for
2000v. Will this scope be anough to investigate on smps power supply and somme other electronics like lcd monitors, computers mainboard, and maybe laptop.
Any help is greatly appricieted and thanks in advance. -

I see you have an oscilloscope.
This days me to bouth my first scope, is a cheap one, and second hand to, and have only one probe 10x for now. Starting to make some measurment with scope, but must buy a 100x probe, because my scope is only 20v. Picoscope adc200/50. 25mhz. For starting and investigating on 100khz smps power supply i think will be good anough. Can you give me somme advice on this?Leave a comment:

If you check the diode and is ok, then is no need to change. How you measure power factor? And this 0.65 what is this? My monitor is returned to friend, and is in use by him, so i canot anymore make measurment on the supply board. About the unstable voltage, my board alsow have alot of unstable voltages on it before was fixed, to be onest when everithing start to work i measure just somme voltages on 5.2v ic controler, and was stable, output 5.3, 24v, and 5.2v was stable to. On this board i change a capacitor i think was 18nf 630v hi frequ, mkp....Leave a comment:

Or maybe Aruba your board is not the same like mine, and have somme other diferences. And for flickering, maybe is somme zener become a little bit weak and releasing on lower voltage then is normal to release. And check all caps with esr tester for hi esr, and with dmm for shorts.Leave a comment:
