Re: Troubleshooting 1 blink SOS on 12th generation panasonic viera TC-54PS14
What would work that is in stock? I'd prefer not to have to send it in to moduspts as I don't know how long it will take them to fix or even if they will be able to do it....

Haha it's certainly been fun. Empty pockets are the mother of invention. I just hope I'm not a lunatic and am actually looking at this circuit correctly. I did put in an offer for the actual replacement board but until I hear back from them Ill just keep trying to self-fix since that would only cost me $7 or so. If I do fix it, I will post a full repair log to hopefully help others in the future.

Re: Troubleshooting 1 blink SOS on 12th generation panasonic viera TC-54PS14
If I would be replacing MPUs on the board why wouldn't I just do a self repair? Wouldn't that effectively be the same process? Based on a few quick reads the IC9003 (panel MPU) has no output signal at 3 and 5 (ready and alarm signals to primary cpu) nor does it have an ouput signal at 75 to a25 11 of 3v for the panel on signal. Seems like I just need to replace this component, which goes along with the official error code for 1 blink (error communicating with IC9003). Although I would really need to check...

Oh are they compatible other than that? I wasn't sure if that was even an option. If it is that is certainly cheaper! I actually thought the S1 is considered the better tv since it has 1080 moving lines resolution compared to the PS's 900 lines moving picture resolution (wouldn't this feature alone make the cpu's incompatible? I would think that it would be trying to send data that couldn't be displayed.

Re: Troubleshooting 1 blink SOS on 12th generation panasonic viera TC-54PS14
I disconnected the points you indicated and still received the 1 blink signal so it seems it is the A board. I did find a used A board for $120 but once again would rather wait to see if I can find a way to self repair. If it helps to diagnose the specific problem on the A board this problem has been getting progressively worse over the past 3 months. At first I would get full power on every 2 out of 3 times, after about a month I would have to try it 5 times to get it to turn on. Just these last two weeks...

Troubleshooting 1 blink SOS on 12th generation panasonic viera TC-54PS14
Hi Everyone,
I am receiving a 1 blink SOS upon power on for my plasma. I have read based on my bit of research that this is a general "catch all" error which means I have a bit of work to do. When I bought this TV I was aware that it was having problems and the person I bought it from said Panasonic had told him it was a power supply issue. I am however getting a 5v signal out of the 9th pin in p25 which seems to indicate it is a problem with the A board. Is there any info you can give me or steps I can take to help narrow down the fault? I would also like to avoid replacing...
