Any suggestions? Maybe some ribbon cable?Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
It worked for 20 days on hot summer days
Of course I'm not 100% sure of what happened, but it makes sense to me. Maybe it worked for a few days because it wasn't without the heatsink, but without the thermal adhesive.
What a noob I am, shame on me. I will gonna miss this plasma TV, great picture. They don't sell Plasma TVs on Brazil anymore...

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
Sorry for bumping this thread, but after months I just checked out my TV again. I realize that when I was trying to solve the first problem (Y-main board failure) I probably removed the heatsink for E-F buffer, and it is lacking 3 "thermal adhesives" for the 3 ICs (COF) under the coloured lines on screen, so the ICs was not touching the heatsink. I didn't notice this, so probably when I put the new Y-main board (first problem) and start to use the TV again it may damaged the IC's due to overheating...

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
Not necessarily during load, it happens usually a few minutes after boot. I will test the capacitors on the secondary side soon. Unfortunately I don't have a capacimeter, but I will try to borrow one.
Looking the pictures I would say it is the same PSU....

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
After 4 days away home, I turned on my PC yesterday and after several hours running it didn't turn off. I didn't use a hair dryer on PSU, I only turned it on and no problems until now.
Maybe after 4 days of resting my PSU fixed itself
Should I still look for bad caps on it?
Edit: It did shut down a few minutes after I post here.Last edited by rogerazambuja; 08-05-2015, 02:58 PM.

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
I just have a simple digital multimeter. Is there a way to test caps with it?
That is a garage, lol...

There are some caps under the heat sink and wires, they all seems good to me. I will try to take a picture of them but will gonna be a little bit hard to do it.Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
Yes, my bad. This PSU is maded by CWT, based on a CWT design.
I will, as soon as it shut down again. It is working right now, after I used a hair dryer on it for a 3-4 minutes. But I did try to turn on my PC before without using hair dryer and it turned off after 5 minutes....

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
According to a brazilian website, it is. Here is some pictures of this PSU:
If you need real pictures from my PSU, let me know. These one are from the website: http://www.clubedohardware.com.br/artigos/teste-da-fonte-de-alimentacao-c3tech-psh750v/1580Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC

Re: Bad PSU shutting down my PC
The smaller ones are very difficult to reach because of wires and the transistor's heat sink. They don't look like blown caps, but I will take a picture tomorrow....

Bad PSU shutting down my PC
Hi guys. I'm having a problem with my C3 Tech PSU 750W (brazilian "name" of Corsair TX750). My PC sometimes shut down randomly and sometimes it doesn't even power up. I figured out that the PSU is the problem.
Then I read some people saying that using a hair dryer on my PSU for a few minutes maybe could solve the problem and it did! But, it just works sometimes (now for example, I'm typing from my PC with this faulty PSU). But sometimes I use the hair dryer but the PC just works for a few second or minutes then shuts down.
I have already tried turn the PSU on without the...Last edited by rogerazambuja; 07-24-2015, 11:20 PM.

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
I never removed anything, I just changed the Y-main due to the previous failure mentioned in this topic. Then, 2 weeks after I replace the Y-main board, this happened
Plasma TVs never again (although I really liked this one before all these problems occurred)!...

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
Here is a picture when all the 3 ribbon cables are connected with E and F buffers:
And here is a picture when I disconnect the ribbon cable from the F buffer:
Also, when I disconnect the ribbon cable and the power cable from the F buffer board, there is no picture on the left side of panel but on the right side the picture is perfect.
So, I'm guessing here but I think the problem is some IC on the ribbon cable, like steviewonder mentioned....

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
I will try it, but now I don't think this is the problem. I suspect it is bad panel because when I disconnect the 3 ribbon cables that connects the logic board to E&F buffer boards the vertical coloured lines are still there. I think that shouldn't have any picture on screen, right?
No, I always turn off the TV when plug or unplug something....

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
When all the ribbon cables are connected, the picture on the right part of the panel is a little bit distorted but when I disconnect the 3rd ribbon cable, the right part of the picture on the panel is perfect!

So, the problem could be the E&F buffer boards?Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok

Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
I did this with both ribbon cables that connect the logic board with X-main and Y-main boards, they are OK.

I did a few tests too. I disconnected the 3 ribbon cables that connects the logic board with that board in the bottom of the set (I think it is E and F Buffer) and the image on the panel is like this: .
It could be E&F buffer the problem?Re: PL51D550C1G Plasma Samsung - No picture, but sound is ok
