Re: bios for HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2
Tried it, but it turns on to a black screen with the Underscore..nothing else, left it running for about 30 minutes and nothing changed, restarted the laptop and it starts right up without pressing power button, then black screen with the underscore again..

Re: HP DV6 Backlight works but no video, ext. monitor shows video.5v resistor burned.
I've replaced both the resistor R2 and the cap C4 with the right values and still only shows backlight no image, Same voltage on both sides of R2...Could it be the LCD cable?...

Re: HP DV6 Backlight works but no video, ext. monitor shows video.5v resistor burned.
THANKS for the input! i replaced it with a 100ohm resistor, but there is 5v on both sides of the resistor, when you say to check where it goes, did you mean the lcd connector side of if or the side where its bringing the voltage.??...

HP DV6 Backlight works but no video, ext. monitor shows video.5v resistor burned.
This laptop had a resistor on a 5v rail, replaced it with another resistor different value..still only shows backlight.
im including schematics....Burned resistor was on a 5v rail on CN2(LCD Connector).
What else should i be looking at?
There is 5v on both sides of new resistor....Last edited by Blacktek; 08-29-2018, 01:55 PM.

Re: Toshiba P305D shorted out when using tweezer to power on. what to check first
THanks for the input, I have 3v and 5v coming out of those coils, Instead of 15V i have 7.20V, the others checkpoint are not on this board or maybe is written differently.
Im attaching the schematic file in case you want to take a look....

Toshiba P305D shorted out when using tweezer to power on. what to check first
i need help, i have this laptop that i was troubleshooting because it had no image on lcd but working on ext. monitor. i used the tweezer to turn it on about 20 times without a problem, NOW it wont turn on, only the cd tray start/makes noises, but no light, no fan spin, DEAD.

Re: Toshiba L555D Shuts down ONLY when booting from Disk/CD. Stays on in bios and f8
Thanks guys, I Found the Culprid. I was using a 19v. 1.58A, so i switch to an HP 18.5v 6.5A, and its working without any issues.
