I know this is an old thread but I did want to chime in anyway. There is a SMD 3 ohm resistor to the right of the first MOS-FET that opens and a 47 kohm SMD around the corner from it next to the heat sink. The Shorted MOS-FETs will open either both of one of these but you don't get them included in any kits available for sale.

If you've really learned alot then you should have learned how to read the label on the panel which should clearly state that VSC/VSCAN is a negative voltage. If it's not correct you will get either a blank screen or what would apear to be black clouds of missing pixels either in blocks, lines or both which is what I have with VSCAN at -44VDC. It should be on this particular panel -193VDC. I as a technician will attempt to fix this board but you as just learning more will probably fare better by replacing the Y-Main board. If you don't...

I agree also. I have see this many times in Sony models and others that use the AS15-F drive ic, and have replaced this chip with many successful repairs. But this can also be caused by an incorrect Main board version designed for another version panel.
