I know it's an old thread, just posting my success story! (July 2023) I just acquired this set for free (curb alert) and after removing the driver board(s) on the affected side of the screen as suggested, it worked! I'm still VERY confused as to why the TV appears to work like new again after removing these components, go figure. Anyway I'm back in business. Many thanks to all that contributed about their own experience.

Hi Group, hate to bring up a old thread on the Sharp LC-70LE650U with weird screen artifacts, (see attachments) in brief, with both t-con cables connected, black jumping horizontal lines on screen, with the right side disconnected, the left side has similar lines, with the left side disconnected, the right side is perfect. I got the set free so I have nothing to lose by trying anything. just point me in the right direction, not the dumpster! At least I'll get something for the boards on flea-bay (assuming they are...

Nasty, would this more likely be caused by a manufacturing defect or damage from a hit?...
