Re: Adding charger to job site radio
Milwaukee has a radio that charges, and I know it would be a lot easier to get one but that is not what this is about, they have the charging circuit as a separate unit in the radio but the schematics I've seen don't show component levels for the boards so I don't know how they're switching from the battery supplying to charging. So I'm assuming all I need is something that would break the connection from the battery to the radio as soon as it's plugged in. The charger would share the AC current coming in

Re: Adding charger to job site radio
No sir it is not the model I have, sorry I forgot to put the model number of the radio I am working on. I will post it shortly, but mine does not charge the battery I bought it online and mistook the description. Should have known better it was cheaper than what it should have been

Adding charger to job site radio
I have a Milwaukee M18 radio that I've been wanting to stick a charger in for quite some time. I have numerous chargers so that side is covered. I would like some thoughts on how to set it up so when I plug it in to 120 receptive it will switch from drawing power from the battery to charging it. Any thoughts? I won't have any problem putting in the charger and wiring it to the battery mount I'm just trying to figure out how to make the charger come on after the radio switches to AC

Weird voltage readings on old and new board
I bought a new power board for a Vizio D55U-D1 that was reading 19.2v on
12v pins. The new board is giving me the same readings. This can't be normal
can it? These readings are the same even with the board isolated.

Re: Magnavox 32MF301B/F7 board swap
I was looking for a new main board for this model and was surprised at all the different board numbers, does anyone know why, and if they are interchangeable.
Strike that, I'm sure no one could make that assumption given the limited infoLast edited by evelhorn; 11-11-2016, 09:54 PM.

Re: LG 46ld550 screen issues
They look like their pretty much the same board. I was hoping someone had identified an easy fix for his but after a day or so with little action on the thread I realized I wouldn't be so lucky. Usually heat is the devil for these things. Thanks for the input

Here's the boards, I couldn't see any glaring issues but I'm sure someone else may...

Re: LG 46ld550 screen issues
Update, it still has the scrambled picture when I first turn it on. After being on for a few minutes it slowly clears up. Can anyone steer me in a good starting direction.

Re: LG 46ld550 screen issues
After fooling around with this set it has magically started working perfectly. Go figure. Anyone have any ideals? I can find no bad caps, visually. Has anyone experienced something similar? Once again thanks for any input.

LG 46ld550 screen issues
I have a LG that as you can see in the photo has a scrambled image, my first thought was the tcon board. After I disconnected the hdmi cable it began displaying the LG image and it slowly moved across the screen. My question is, can it still be the tcon board even though it displays that image perfectly. I tried it connected to a tablet, a cable box and an Xbox, none worked. Thanks for your time...

Re: hitchi 42edt41 bars on screen
Thanks for the response, I'll post a pic of the screen once I find a replacement for that coil, it pretty much crumbled when I removed it

hitchi 42edt41 bars on screen
I have a friend's Hitachi 42edt41 that has twin wide vertical bars on either side of the screen. Once I tore into it I noticed a component on the board that was split, can some help me identify this part. Written on it is qd 0010a 3t. The number next to it on the board is L6. There are two more just like it close on the board with L10 and L8 next to them. Hopefully the pics I'm posting will help....

Re: DYNEX 40" Model DX-L40-10A/4832 Will not power on.
Found the culprit, it was the cable connecting the power board with the main board. If it moved in any way it killed the power. I anchored it securely and it works fine now. I'll order the cable once I find it, no luck so far, it plays fine for now and it's not like I'm gonna move it around. Thanks for everyone's input

Re: DYNEX 40" Model DX-L40-10A/4832 Will not power on.
OK things got weirder, was checking the voltage levels on the dx-l40-10a I've been attempting to fix and as I was waving my multimeter over the high voltage side of he board it made an odd sound and started working. Or at least it works while its laying flat, once I turn it upright it goes dead, not even the red standby light is on. I can find no loose connections or anything like that so I would greatly appreciate any insight. Has anyone else seen this happen
And on a side note, thanks budm for always replying...Last edited by evelhorn; 02-22-2015, 02:46 PM.
