Sharp lc-43n4000u
I have a sharp lc-43n4000u set that was struck by lightning surge. How do I start diagnosing the problem? Just repaired a Samsung 65 inch with the same problem. Replaced main board and it works fine. I tried the same procedure with unplugging the main board and plugged the set in but it did not power the backlights up. Where do I start?

Re: Samsung Un65h6300af
Finally got around to ordering a main board. Came in yesterday and I got it in lastnight. Powered up and everything works fine so far. Thanks for the help.

The backlights came and stayed on time I plugged it into the wall.

Samsung Un65h6300af
I have a Samsung Un65h6300af. Dont really know much about troubleshooting TV's. My grandparents recently suffered from a very close lightning strike and it took out both their sets along with everything connected to them. I'd really hate to throw this set out seeing that it's only about 2 years old.
Tv wont power up at all. Has the red led flashing in the lower left corner. Flashes twice for a total of 5 times pauses then repeats. Any ideas on the code for that? I have the back panel off and the screen turns on with the main board disconnected from the power board. Should I just try to...

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
Been going thru everything and so far i got 2 things on my board im not sure about.
D7311 reads 0 ohm, thats to the right of that connector that goes to the main board.
And R7003 reads 180.2 ohm. At the bottom right side of the heatsink. Above the relay.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
On the PNL_POW, after hitting the power button, mine stayed at 0v for about 3-4 seconds then it jumps up to 2.9-3.2 right before it clicks and shuts off. Yours doesn't do something similar?

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
New to all this so im not really sure as how to read those charts. On the first chart, it says power flashes twice and opc flashes. Does each one mean how many time the opc flashes? If so, that means we have a det_10v (pin 57) error? And how would you go about testing that or is it safe to say the power board is bad?

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
Alright, voltages on mine are
PS ON- 2.1v
AC DET- 2.29v
BU5 - 5.0v
PNL POW- 0 at power on then has a burst that goes between 2.9-3.2 before it clicks and shuts off.
The 15v is there on the last 2.Last edited by Clutch1819; 11-05-2014, 08:31 PM.

Re: Sharp Aquos LC-46D64U Help
On my set, the power and opc flash together once and then power flashes by itself. (Both flashes are green) Pauses, then repeats.
