Re: Samsung HP-S4273X/XAA Vertical Pixelation/Lines?
it's all nice and clear like it should be. the blue/red/green solid are bright. The black to grey gradient/swiping test (vertical/horizontal/corner to corner) is smooth.
Main board or LSDV cable?
It's nice to see solid colors for now.

Re: Samsung HP-S4273X/XAA Vertical Pixelation/Lines?
I took an HD jumper from a working HD and the pins are numbered on the board.
the jumper must have been junk...I just put another one on and i'm getting the color and b/w test patterns now. l should have done that in the first place. Being in the IT industry for years, should have known.

Re: Samsung HP-S4273X/XAA Vertical Pixelation/Lines?
With the symptoms above, is that board dead, or do i need to rotate through boards to check? Would a fuse cause this or is it a larger prob?
Thanks in advance for the help! Wife is pushing me to "fix it or get it out of the house".
Which means I'd just do a teardown and part it out (not the boards) and keep the pcb and caps for my tub full of parts.

Re: Samsung HP-S4273X/XAA Vertical Pixelation/Lines?
Good morning.
I disconnected the LVDS cable and put a jumper over pins 3&4 on the 4 pin block.
Turned on and screen was black with random color pixel flashing. Had to darken the room (of course) and really concentrate to catch them.
It's a mix of white/green/blue/red pixels. One pixel at a time.
Only occurs in the middle third of the screen.
I'd say 2-3" on either side of the Samsung logo and power button.
Goes from bottom to top.
Same thing with sound and inputs....

Re: Samsung HP-S4273X/XAA Vertical Pixelation/Lines?
Thanks! I just need basic stuff for that, correct?
a HD jumper, soldering iron, some resistors and the remote and just follow the tutorial on the forums?
I'll do that in the a.m. and let you know what happens.
thanks again guys for the fast response.
