Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 14x Blinks error
I tried the Reset last night and it appeared to do nothing. Did not have a chance to get pics or test other inputs yet.

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 14x Blinks error
I got stripes on the original mainboard I did component repair on but not with the replacement board from the 46". Both going into 14blink HFR error. Have not tried HDMI or any other inputs yet either. When I did have stripes they were across entire screen and static.
Cables appear to be connected properly and I have not found any bent pins, etc.
Thanks,
- Aaron

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 14x Blinks error
Another question for you guys. Will it work to use the same model mainboard for different model tv's that it is normally used in? In this case a mainboard that came from a 46" Sony in a 40".
Thanks,
Aaron

Background -
Sony Bravia KDL-40XBR6 we have had since late 2008. About a week and a half ago came home one day and it would not come on. Was getting 3-blink error (mainboard or PS). I did some troubleshooting and it appeared that PS was ok and mainboard had issues. I was able to track down at least one blown pico fuse on it and a mosfet bank...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello, my name is Aaron and I do a little hobbiest electronics stuff occasionally. Simple repairs of my own equipment, as well as very basic design and implementation for projects including some microcontroller stuff. Hoping to get some more experienced help when needed.
