thanks for the input fellas. I grew tired of trying to diagnose this half-working board and instead ordered a new power supply board from eBay for $28.
It arrived today and fixed the issue. TV now works fine. Now i must figure out what to do with this power supply as well as the inverter board i ordered.

On each side of the fuse is 392V.
On each side of diode is 392V.
Red cap climbs from 150mV to 200mV and drops and repeats.Leave a comment:

I see. I tested the voltage on the inverter board and it would cycle from 0V to ~200mV. Is this normal or a sign that the inverter is not receiving enough voltage from the power supply?Leave a comment:

I havent replaced the power supply board. I replaced the inverter board.
FM801S is good. What are the chances that there are a problem with the actual backlight?Leave a comment:

Hi Badcaps,
I have been trying to repair this tv on my own but could not find any threads on this particular television or boards.
The unit powers on with the audible power indicator, and the screen shows picture under a flashlight. Without a flashlight, the screen is black.
I inspected the PS board for bad caps, but found none. I replaced the inverter board but it still no back light.
I'm looking for guidance on which components to test with a multimeter to figure out what is causing the issue.

Hi,
I am also having this problem with the same power supply board in the same television. There is no picture when plugged in, the red light blinks intermittently, and the bottom blue ambient light also flashes.There is no sound from the speakers. Also, I can hear a humming/high pitch noise coming from something on the board as if trying to start but failing. I have already replaced the 7 capacitors on the cold side with Rubycon ones with no luck. I'm currently in the process of cleaning up all the yellow glue and finding...Leave a comment:
