    can't really say, one has that white glue right where the value is written, the other has the value written just next to the metal sheet, i just cannot manage to read it.
    They are of a different size and colour (brown) than the ones at the right, so can't make an assumption.

    Thanks for the advice on replacing all caps, i think i'll just try replacing the ones you circles in red, because the other two are surrounded on the other side with resistors, it'll be a mess if i start going there.

    If the screen works after...

    Hello,

    I figure i could up this post as my issue is identical, and the screen is worth like 40€ used...

    The vx2255wmb doesn't display anything (black screen when powered on, just the quick blue led on bottom, then nothing, pushing the osd button does not display the osd).

    So i opened it up, and i see 4 bulged caps (2x 220uF25v / 2x 1000uF25v).

    As my only option for a cheap repair would be to buy some good caps, i'm looking on ebay (no electronics store nearby) for an Assortment Kit...

    Hello,

    This is Romain, from France (near the city of Nantes).
    Just registered here as i just opened up an old viewsonic vx2255wmb, which displays 4 bad caps from a quick look.
    So now just browsing the forum, trying to find additional infos on thse screens that seem to be all doomed to die in 2 or 3 years...
