  • Samsung UN65JS9500 No Power On

    I was given this Samsung 65 inch that was around $5000 new
    I found little to none service information it but managed to find the problem
    as shown in the image

    I had standby and B13 voltages with no fuses blown, so it through me
    for a while.

    I now have a $2.39 (top of the line) TV and just wanted to pass it on...

    Well, I replaced the TCON board and no go

    I have no picture, or sound. the standby just blinks 4 times and nothing else

    At the plug going to the LEDs, I have on the 4 wires 62-149-149- 267 volts to ground, is that normal

  • Samsung UN46D6000SF LED Backlight

    This was given to me and I have no history at all

    When first plugged in, the standby light comes on and blinks 5 times and goes out
    I can see the back light come on fairly bright through the holes in the back panel
    then go out and back on dimmer and stay on but the standby light goes out
    I can turn it off with either console or remote and back on where it will repeat the above

    I have no OSD just a black screen so I can't hook it up to a signal but tried to turn the sound wide open so as to hear a noise but hear nothing

    I'm thinking...

  • Re: Panasonic TC-P50G20 Problem

    Thanks again tw2005 for your help

    I'm reporting back on the results

    Even though I had the brief 15v etc. the digital never had time to reach full readings so I spaced it off as that

    I done some more checking and jumping and found what I thought was a bog down (just couldn't produce the amperage) in those voltages, so I ordered and got a Power Board and BINGO that was it

  • Re: Panasonic TC-P50G20 Problem

    I tried undoing ribbons etc and power won't stay on, still 10

    I have what I could find for a service manual. but with all the revisions etc, I'm sure they are accurate

    One walked me down to disconnect A1 and asks if it shut down with a 10, that removed power to the K board blink led so I had no idea

    I'll check out the 5v tomorrow and let you know... thanks for all your work

    Yes I have that manual and tried to follow the chart but just does not calculate

  • Re: Panasonic TC-P50G20 Problem

    Correct it is a tnpa5081af

    first plugged in I get 2 clicks and then the 10 code
    unplugged P2 to SC and P11 to SS and still 10 code
    unplugged P35 from PB with the 2 above still unplugged, still 10 code

    checked vsus and vda for short to ground and found them not shorted

    I have a flash of the 15v on pin 7 of P6 and 15v from drain of Q355 and 100+ on P2
    These are very brief and then shuts off

    I might add that the green leds on both SC & SS light a little and the fade out

  • Panasonic TC-P50G20 Problem

    I'm trying to help a friend fix a 50" Panasonic TC-P50G20 Plasma TV that gives the 10 code when plugged in

    This is my first time with a Plasma and don't fully understand what board does what

    I have gathered some good info on it and tried to pin down which board is bad by using their procedures and things don't seem to happen the way they explain it

    I also have taken voltage readings from various places and have those

    I could use some help getting the right board at the price they cost

    Thanks in advance

  • Compaq Presario CQ61 Problem

    I'm wanting to fix this presario cq61 and and it's a brick at boot. but gives CAP light code 2 blinks pause 2 blinks
    This supposed to be BIOS failure
    The hard drive is good and swapping, removing stick memory shows no diff
    I can use key combo Window+B and power up procedure to restore the BIOS and get a little hard drive light activity and it acts like it may have restored but then quits and reboots back to the samo (brick)

    Anyone have this issue and fixed it short of a motherboard or any neat tricks?

    Thanks for any help

    I'm sorry, this...

    budm

    It came today and Bingo, we have a winner

    I got this set free and come to find out, he doesn't have the base stand or remote so I'll probably have to build a stand and buy a remote

    In HDMI using Dishnetwork, my screen doesn't fill, it has bars left and right

    I managed to set the menu to fill but still has LR bar about 2" wide (1080i)

    My other set don't do that, whats my problem there (great picture though)

    It flashed something like 10% over scan in one...

    OK, Thanks budm

    I can't screw with it for the price of a new one but have one more question

    I seen the one you got on River Valley and looked like a good deal

    My # is M$35-D010611-(L$HPR645300068)
    Does the (HPR645300068) have to match also?

    I can find a lot of 35-D010611's

  • Re: Westinghouse Ltv-32w6 HD No Picture

    2.5v = 1.6
    Fuse = 5.06
    5v = 1.5
    3.3v = 1.9
    on/off = 1.7
    VDA = 2.0
    VDD = 1.5
    VGL = 1.0 - 1.6 until standby then zero

    UPDATE
    After posting these, i went back and checked both sides of the FUSE and somewhere along the line, the fuse is now open .. 5.1v one side and 1.5v the other

    I did an ohm check with the board removed and could swear it was OK when I first started

    What can I replace it with ???

  • Westinghouse Ltv-32w6 HD No Picture

    I had a Westinghouse Ltv-32w6 given to me and was wanting to revive it.

    First of all, I have followed budm helping lilmonk3 and have the same thing wrong

    I do have the right voltages on the PS and have a back light but very dark

    When I press the OSD a vertical band of garbled colors appear in the center and change in width every time I press the OSD

    budm, if you help me, I have the right voltages to the T-CON FUSE1 and I'm asking if this confirms a bad T-CON board before I order one or is there other test I should make first

  • Re: Old Scanner Inverter

    I could have read it wrong, kinda tight peeking by the side of it. May have been 25v and I didn't see the 2.
    Anyway it's the original I guess and probably been there since day one and it's totally buried now in a new case I put it in.

    Thanks again for the heads up

  • Re: Old Scanner Inverter

    Thanks b70029

    I Tried 3.3 and that didn't work

    The guy that gave me this junk looked around and found the original power supply for it and I couldn't believe it, the PS yellow marked 25v went to red and PS red marked 5v went to brown and PS black to black and away it went.

    Unhook the brown and it does turn the light off as you said

    25V, I still can't believe it ....
