Re: Acer Aspire E1-571 no power
Just an update on my findings, hope I'm not being a nuisance here.
P09 = 19 V on one side and 0 going out
P010 = .05 V one side and 0 going out
P08 = 19 V one side 0 on the other
PL1 =19 V both sides
PR41= .05 both sides
PD1 has -5.25 going in and out it fluctuates quickly from 0 all the way up to -4.45
PQ1 = 0.05 v going in and 2.03 v and 4.46 going out
To me this means I should be replacing P09 and P010 and possibly p08 resistor.
I realize I'm prob not listing these numbers...

Re: Acer Aspire E1-571 no power
Hey Guys,
I am also working on an Acer E1 531 with the same board as above. No power whatsoever but I do get 19 v to the 4 pin connector labeled PJP1. I'm getting ready to test the individual components of the DC In and charging circuit and realized I don't know what outputs I'm looking for once I get past the first few capacitors and the one inductor. Once i'm into the charging circuit and things get ugly for me. Limitations of my knowledge really start shining. What kind of voltage should I expect once I get through the 4 parallel resistors?...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello fellow techies, wow most of you are way more qualified then I am lol, I'm just a DIY guy from computers to Jeeps to plumbing. Firm believer that your never to old to learn or to teach. I'm hoping to learn a thing or two about making simple repairs to motherboards and other electronics and I'm a little overwhelmed at the moment. Introduced to your site because it was the only place I could find the drawings for a dead laptop i'm curiously working on. Seems I have a bad mosfeet on the board or fuse or something. Got alot...
