I also needed an SC board for my Panasonic plasma. I eventually located one on ebay after patiently looking every day for about a month. Other sites like ShopJimmy and others did not have it. They are not easy to locate and are relatively expensive.

YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!

I purchased some electronic contact cleaner and cleaned the ribbon ends. I inserted one ribbon per time per jbfr's suggestion and turned the TV on to try each one.

Some of the ribbons took a few tries, but eventually all the horizontal lines went away. It is incredibly difficult to get those damn things seated correctly.

Thanks for the reply. I'll try again to reseat those ribbon cables. If it is indeed the ribbon cables not being seated correctly, do the locations of the vertical lines roughly coincide with the bastard ribbons?

Also, if I somehow damaged one or more ribbons, am I correct to assume the TV is basically destroyed and should be parted out?

I've been trying to repair a Panasonic plasma TC-50PS14 for some time now. I originally got the dreaded "bang" and 10 blink flash code. Well I'm a glutton for punishment and have replaced many of the main boards in the back, including the SC board, SU, and SD (among others). I did notice that there was a burn mark on the old SC board, so replacing that was probably a good idea.

I now can turn the TV on without any blink codes, but there are some horizontal lines through the picture. I'm really at a loss as to what to do next. I've triple checked...
