Checked the main and power boards nothing on them is blown up or looks burned/melted.

So a little while ago my sister asked me to take a look at her tv. During a storm the TV stopped working. It was also hooked up to a cable box at the time which currently doesn't work either. The first thing I did was push the power button hoping for some type of error code, a red light flashed 3 times, turned blue and that was it. Next I unscrewed the back and checked the boards, which had no signs of physical damage whatsoever. So tired looking online and came to the conclusion that it was one of the back light inverters, so I changed the master 1&2 boards with still no luck, so I plugged...

Hello everyone, My name is Larry. I'm from Baltimore, MD. I have no background in electronics what so ever, I'm just your typical do it yourself-er. I graduated for Itt-Tech with a degree in multimedia. I'm my spare time I like doing multiple things but my favorite would be customizing game systems(painting, lights etc.) I'm kinda new to forums but found this place looking for some helping with a broken TV. Hopefully I'll get the help I need and hopefully learn a couple of new tricks.
